Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of all restaurant staff, facilities, sales, and costs.
  • Monitor and analyze quality, guest satisfaction (VOG), employee satisfaction (EES), operating costs, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to ongoing improvements.
  • Conduct regular cleaning inspections to ensure health and safety compliance.
  • Assist in service delivery as required.
  • Ensure grooming and appearance standards are met.
  • Manage inventory and stock levels for daily restaurant operations.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and alcohol handling policies.
  • Participate in budget preparation and financial goal setting.
  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, logs, and reports.
  • Track sales and other performance metrics to maximize profitability.
  • Contribute to hotel committees and special events.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards, including COVID-19 protocols.
  • Work weekends, holidays, and shifts as scheduled.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years’ hospitality management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; second language is an asset.
  • Experience in unionized environments is an asset.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Smart Serve Certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Regular kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Climbing ladders, stairs, and ramps.
