The Opportunity

Reporting to the Associate Librarian, the Research & Digital Initiatives Librarian will support research services, digital humanities, and digital collections projects, working closely with the Digital Scholarship Unit and campus partners.

Responsibilities
  • Support digital humanities development and digital collections infrastructure (Islandora).
  • Lead projects related to digital collections and infrastructure.
  • Enhance research and academic services through innovative initiatives.
  • Engage in outreach and collaboration with campus, community, and international partners.
  • Participate in professional development and scholarly activities.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s in library, archival, or information science from an accredited institution.
  • Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity, anti-racism, and accessibility.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of research processes, technology in library services, and recent developments like AI.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, managing multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with digital scholarship projects and project management.
  • Familiarity with content management or repository systems and programming languages such as Bash or Python.
Salary and Terms

Position at Librarian I/II level, with salaries starting at $76,403 for LIB I and $79,720 for LIB II. The appointment is for one year, starting August 1, 2025.
