Job summary

Cineplex Entertainment LP's Edmonton venue is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager to lead a small guest-focused team and ensure a memorable cinema experience. You’ll help manage daily operations, support guest satisfaction, and contribute to budget and revenue initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll forecast actions to drive the business forward, coordinate across departments, and uphold Cineplex’s standards for service, safety, and guest engagement while balancing flexible scheduling

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar theatre/entertainment environment.
• Ability to analyze customer needs and offer options.
• Proven ability to lead a team during busy periods.
• Strong negotiation and objection handling skills.
• Flexible scheduling to cover extended hours.

What you will do: Part-Time Assistant Manager

• Assist with leading and managing a dedicated team of employees and, when necessary, take an active hand to ensure guest satisfaction is maintained.
• Manage the guest experience - ensure every guest who visits your facility is satisfied and is excited about their next visit.
• Assist with managing your theatre’s budget and growing revenue.
• Forecast, initiate action/projects to drive the business forward and strengthen Cineplex Entertainment as Canada’s #1 premier film exhibition company.

Qualifications

• You have experience in a similar environment.
• You can analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
• You have demonstrated ability to lead a team during high volume business periods in multiple departments.
• You have strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
• You have schedule flexibility to work extended hours as required.
