Job summary

Albert Bartlett in Airdrie is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the Chilled Intake team in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will oversee daily operations, ensure the safe, accurate receipt of raw materials, and model strong leadership through practical example.

This role requires coordinating staff rotas, driving performance, safety, quality and operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety across the department.

Qualifications

• Leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing, logistics or warehouse operations.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate teams and manage performance effectively.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Experience in fast-paced operational environments.
• IT literate with stock control or warehouse systems.
• Food manufacturing or FMCG experience.
• Forklift licence (Counterbalance).
• Experience of intake, goods-in, warehouse or inventory management operations.

Location: Albert Bartlett, Airdrie
Department: Chilled Intake
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 6.30am - 3.30pm
Hourly rate: £16.53

As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the intake team, ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate receipt of raw materials into the business. You will lead by example, driving performance, safety, quality and operational excellence across the department.
