Job summary

Vast Auto Distribution in Canada is seeking a capable Operations Supervisor to coordinate daily activities across sales and shipping. You will approve timesheets, authorize expenses, and ensure documentation for financing plans is complete, while maintaining open communication with the sales team and other departments.

You will monitor inventory accuracy, enforce health and safety standards, optimize routing and order processing, verify credits, and support store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employees’ work and resolve issues within your scope of responsibility; escalate to supervisor any matters outside your authority or likely to have medium- or long-term impacts.
  • Refer to the Account Opening procedure for matters related to accounts receivable and customer account follow-ups.
  • Approve employee timesheets.
  • Authorize branch expenses with supervisor approval when required.
  • Complete required documentation related to financing plans.
  • Collaborate to maintain effective communication between the sales team and other departments.
  • Contribute to inventory discrepancy corrections by submitting inventory adjustment forms to shipping/receiving.
  • Apply and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards per law and internal policies.
  • Supervise order processing efficiency and sales invoicing (backorders).
  • Oversee daily credit verification and make corrections as needed.
  • Support store operations daily.
  • Maintain up-to-date delivery routing systems.
  • Optimize daily operations and manage assignment changes.
  • Follow up on operational issues and report adjustments to supervisor.
  • Resolve customer service issues in collaboration with supervisor.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

  • Supervise the efficiency of order processing and sales invoicing (customer backorders).
  • Oversee daily credit verification and ensure corrections are made when necessary.
  • Support store operations on a daily basis.
  • Maintain up-to-date delivery routing systems.
  • Optimize daily operations and manage changes in assignments.
  • Follow up on operational issues and required adjustments and report them to the immediate supervisor.
  • Effectively resolve any issues impacting customer service, in collaboration with the immediate supervisor.
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned.
