Job Opportunity: Assistant Manager, Property Management
Hays Recruitment has partnered with our client in Saskatoon, who is currently seeking an Assistant Manager in Property Management to join their team and assist in managing a busy shopping mall.
What You'll Need to Succeed
The ideal candidate will be responsible for reporting to the General Manager regarding the day-to-day operations of Property Management.
Responsibilities
- Tenant liaison and front-line coordination of tenant requests, ensuring timely and professional follow-up;
- Administration of rent collection, including tenant notices, rental postings, A/R reporting, tenant invoicing, and notifications;
- Management of the Centre’s Rent Rolls and Tenant insurance compliance;
- Management of the Centre’s procurement process, including vendor setup, insurance/WCB monitoring, expenditure posting, RFP development, contractor oversight, and contract review;
- Management of the Centre’s utility registry;
- Management of the Tenant Wee Program, including enrollment of tenants into electronic payment options;
- Assisting in the delivery of short-term leasing and licensing programs;
- Managing maintenance and repairs within budget, including approved capital spending;
- Supporting Leasing and Asset Managers with leasing efforts to optimize occupancy and rental income;
- Assisting the Development Manager with construction projects related to Landlord and Tenant work;
- Seeking value-add opportunities at properties;
- Maintaining excellent relations with clients, owners, and tenants;
- Fostering strong external and internal relationships;
- Performing regular property inspections;
- Understanding the financial status of properties and assisting in preparing monthly reports, including operations narrative, variance, aged receivable, and leasing reports.
