Job description

Volleyball Depot by Volvox is a sports company specialized in volleyball equipment for all levels—players, coaches, schools, organizations, etc. We’ve been the go-to volleyball reference since 2003.

We’re looking for a dynamic, results-oriented individual who thrives in a team environment and puts customer needs at the center of their priorities. The ideal candidate is independent, resourceful, and proactive. Experience in sales, inventory management, training, and recruitment is highly desirable.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Help maximize store performance and profitability
  • Greet customers, answer questions, and provide expert advice on technical features, quality, and materials of products
  • Train team members on effective sales techniques and product specifics
  • Help set sales targets and work to meet—and exceed—them
  • Build customer loyalty by strengthening our brand image and establishing strong connections in the retail sector
  • Ensure consistent execution of marketing strategies and in-store visual merchandising
  • Plan and organize merchandise reception efficiently and ensure quick, attractive in-store setup
  • Contribute to a high-performance team by recruiting, training, mentoring, and identifying top talent for various roles
  • Ensure smooth operation and performance of the website platform
  • Maintain strict inventory control through stock transactions and regular counts
  • Ensure general store maintenance meets company standards: dusting, cleaning floors, windows, and storage areas
  • Oversee daily task planning and lead regular performance and productivity discussions with the team
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a management role (experience in sports is a major asset)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to organize and manage inventory effectively
  • Bilingual (French/English) is a strong asset
  • Comfortable with technology (POS systems, Excel, Shopify = bonus)
  • Versatility – our environment is fast-paced, seasonal, and growing
  • Excellent skills in task and priority management
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends based on business needs
