Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, inventory, staffing, safety, and teamwork. This role also encompasses a Shift Manager’s duties in many daily tasks.

You will manage 4-12 staff, plan events/promotions, coordinate training, and assist with ordering and stock as needed. Brand discounts and scholarship opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Restaurant operation experience, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members.
• Computer knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work.
• Assist in planning in-store events and promotions, coordinating training as needed.
• Assist with product ordering and inventory as needed.
• Provide an excellent Guest experience and ensure food is prepared and served to standards.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and security in the restaurant.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
