As an Assistant Manager, you support Desjardins’s strategic priorities by leading your department, leveraging the full market potential, and fulfilling the needs and expectations of members and clients. You are responsible for the strategic and operational management of a team engaged in specialized activities. Your role involves building and maintaining long-term business relationships with clients and members within your line of business.
You will develop and monitor a business plan that addresses priorities, challenges, and objectives. Ensuring unit performance, sound risk management, and adherence to standards is key. You will follow up on results and use your decision-making skills and results-driven approach to manage your department’s employees and performance effectively.
You oversee employee skills development and ensure high-quality service delivery, making talent development essential. You will serve as a coach, providing advisory services and specific recommendations. The work requires extensive knowledge of the organization and your line of business, and more specifically, you will be required to:
Support your supervisor by helping develop business strategies aligned with Desjardins’s strategic priorities and the unit’s challenges.
Ensure service quality and manage the member/client experience.
Implement and monitor action plans to achieve targeted results.
Establish management and communication practices that promote talent acquisition, team synergy, and change management, in line with Desjardins’s values. Lead, coach, and motivate your team to develop skills, enhance engagement, and empower employees.
Develop and implement a competitive, profitable service offering that incorporates partnerships to provide an exceptional member/client experience.
Ensure process efficiency and continuous improvement to boost profitability.
Promote the Desjardins brand and strengthen the organization’s community roots.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
At least six years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
