Reporting to the Kitchen Department Head, the Kitchen Assistant Department Head provides hands-on support to ensure smooth daily operations and management of the department.

T&T Supermarket Inc., founded in 1993 with two stores in BC, has grown to become Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores nationwide, including BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. The company plans further expansion in the coming years.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers with friendly service and a smile
• Supporting the Department Head in managing department performance, supervising staff, and promoting teamwork
• Assisting with product ordering, pricing, and labeling
• Ensuring quality control, food safety, and workplace hygiene
• Overseeing product presentation, packaging, and display of items like BBQ, Hot Foods, Dim Sum, Sushi
• Leading by example in hands-on duties within the kitchen
• Maximizing customer satisfaction and handling complaints professionally
• Performing other duties as assigned
