Cooke Inc. is seeking an Assistant Harvest Manager based in Blacks Harbour, NB to support Harvest Manager in safe, efficient harvesting operations.

The role coordinates crews, vessel activities, equipment, and production targets while maintaining fish welfare and regulatory compliance. Candidates should have leadership experience and strong organizational skills, with travel between sites as required.

Formación

• Post-secondary education in aquaculture, fisheries, marine operations, business, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Experience in aquaculture, fish harvesting, seafood processing, marine operations, or related industry.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites as required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily harvest activities, including crew scheduling, vessel operations, equipment, and logistics.
• Monitor harvest performance, productivity, and operational efficiency to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and fish welfare practices.
• Assist with staffing, onboarding, performance management, and fostering a positive team environment.
• Monitor harvesting and fish handling practices to support fish welfare, product quality, and food safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to harvest operations.
• Support maintenance, repair, and reliability of harvest equipment and assets.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance activities, monitor inventory levels, and assist with asset management programs, including MaintainX.
• Maintain operational records and assist with tracking production results, harvest metrics, and operational costs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, efficiency, and reliability.
