Job summary

Pacific Rose Hospitality Group seeks an Assistant General Manager for our premium casual dining concept in Whistler, BC. The role supports the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, guest service, staff supervision, and adherence to brand standards.

You will coach team members, manage shift schedules, ensure efficient front- and back-of-house coordination, and help monitor inventory and costs while contributing to local marketing efforts and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality management with daily operations supervision.
• Strong leadership and people management skills to coach and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent customer service and communication to create positive guest experiences.
• Basic financial skills, including budgets, labor costs, inventory, and reporting.
• Availability to work on-site in Whistler, with evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations.
• Experience in casual or premium dining; familiarity with branded chains is a plus.
• High school diploma; post-secondary education in hospitality or business is a plus.

Role Description

The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Whistler, BC. This role supports the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including guest service, staff supervision, and adherence to brand standards. Responsibilities include leading and coaching team members, managing shift schedules, and ensuring efficient front-of-house and back-of-house coordination. The Assistant General Manager helps monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and support cost controls to achieve financial targets. This role also contributes to local marketing initiatives, addresses guest feedback, and maintains a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including supervising teams and managing daily operations.
