Schlegel Villages in Canada is seeking an Assistant Food Services Manager to lead our kitchen operations, plan menus, and manage purchasing for meals served to residents. The role requires strong leadership, attention to safety, and effective communication with residents, families, and staff.

Ideal candidates will be CSNM members with experience in large-scale food preparation, financial planning, and menu development, ensuring compliance with Ontario regulations and a resident-centered approach

Qualifikationen

• Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) and maintain active membership.
• Experience in large quantity food preparation, financial planning and food purchasing.
• Creative flair for menu planning, preparation and presentation.
• Strong leadership skills and proven ability to supervise and secure cooperation of the food services team.
• Able to work with older adult population and communicate with families/caregivers.
• Excellent oral and written communication, and a collaborative team player.
• Knowledge of Ontario Food Premises Regulation, CCHSA/ORCA, Ontario Long-Term Care Facility Program manual and OH&S Act.
• Support and embrace resident-centered culture and deliver high-quality service to residents, visitors and staff.

• Status: Permanent Full Time
• Shift Details: 75hrs biweekly, regular working hours can vary, typically from 9:30am-5:30pm. Availability on some weekends is required.

The expected hiring range for this role is $ 48,410 to $ 52,300 .

As our new Assistant Food Services Manager, you will:

• Be a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.) and maintain active membership.
