Job summary

The Four Seasons Whistler is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations of Braidwood Tavern and related F&B activity. You will ensure exceptional service, manage staff, uphold quality standards and drive profitability while maintaining an elegant, guest‑focused environment.

About the role

The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Braidwood Tavern. They are responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, managing the restaurant staff, maintaining quality standards, and maximizing profitability. The assistant manager plays a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for customers while ensuring efficient and smooth restaurant operations.

What you will do
  • Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the Food & Beverage Division (including Sidecut Restaurant and Bar, In Room Dining, Pool and/or Banquets, Braidwood Café and other Food & Beverage activation and pop‑ups, while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Train, evaluate, lead, motivate, and coach staff to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
  • Visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
  • Reports to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the F&B Departments to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
  • Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for F&B outlets.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
  • Responsibility with employee scheduling proper and sufficient staffing while keeping labor standards.
  • Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in other areas of the Resort.

  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers and supervisors.
What you bring
  • At least 2 years previous experience in a supervisory or management level position in Food & Beverage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership & organizational skills required.
  • Successful candidates must possess the ability to work in Canada.

Schedule & Hours

As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
