Job summary

Sienna Senior Living's Aspira Stonebridge Crossing Retirement Living in Saskatoon is seeking an Assistant Director of Wellness to lead a clinical team and shape care alongside the Director of Wellness.

This permanent full-time role is based in Saskatoon, with Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm and some weekends, offering competitive pay and benefits to an experienced LPN with geriatrics background.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation or senior health.
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
• Strong judgment and ability to foster positive work environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Wellness to promote standards of practice and complete stable resident assessments.
• Schedule and adjust staffing levels to match occupancy and acuity.
• Oversee Continence Care Program, assessments, orders, sizing, and transitions.
• Supervise medication administration, audits, and training of new staff.
• Provide coverage for DOW absences.
• Lead Wellness Team onboarding and education.
• Engage with hospital staff and participate in wellness outreach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Assistant Director of Wellness

Reporting to the Director of Wellness, the Assistant Director of Wellness will work alongside the Director of Wellness to lead a clinical team to provide care support and services.

This is a Permanent Full-Time position.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm with some weekends

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Aspira Management team and impact in the following ways:

• Collaborating with the Director of Wellness to promote and ensure standards of practice are achieved and evaluated; completing all stable resident Re-assessments in conjunction with Nursing team, in absence of DOW complete Initial assessments, developing service plans and arranging resident/family care conferences as required to ensure all data is valid and up to date. Ensuring resident care needs are assessed; developing plan of care and determining corresponding care fees and staffing requirements.
• Collaborating with the Director of Wellness to schedule and adjust staffing levels to ensure consistency with the residence’s occupancy levels, the acuity of the residents and the services being offered.
• Provide oversight and management of the Continence Care Program; completing assessments, orders, sizing, and service transitions.
• Overseeing and supervising the medication administration program including administering of medications, completing audits, monitor control, training of new team members and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics.
• Coverage for DOW Absences
• Manage Wellness Team Onboarding and education requirements
• Developing professional and collaborative relationships with hospital staff, participate in marketing outreach such as presentations on wellness services and aging in place philosophy
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• An exceptional manager with a demonstrated track record of delivering results and continuously improving performance
• A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing and has experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• Previous Supervisory experience is an asset
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• Can demonstrate strong technology skills in Microsoft Office suite programs
