Harris is currently looking to hire an Assistant Controller to join our corporate Financial Reporting team, with a dedicated focus on revenue recognition. The ideal candidate for this role has their professional accounting designation (or is currently enrolled as a student), hands-on experience applying IFRS 15 to software or technology revenue, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
As Assistant Controller, Revenue, you will be part of the corporate Financial Reporting team that sits above our business unit finance teams and provides technical accounting review across Harris's portfolio of software businesses. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will play a central role in the review of revenue recognition across a high volume of business units as part of the month, quarter, and year-end close process, ensuring revenue conclusions are well supported, consistent, and compliant with IFRS 15 while working closely with the senior leadership team in each business unit as their “trusted business advisor”
This role is based out of our newly renovated corporate head office in Ottawa, Ontario, although Harris Finance employees are currently working remotely.
The potential salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 per year, with eligibility for bonus or merit program. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
