Job summary

Harris in Ottawa is seeking an Assistant Controller, Revenue to join the Corporate Financial Reporting team. You will lead revenue recognition support across multiple software units, ensuring IFRS 15 conclusions are robust and well-supported, with close collaboration with business unit leadership.

The role requires 4+ years in accounting, hands-on IFRS 15 experience for software, and CPA designation progress. Remote work option available with a base in Ottawa, Ontario.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• CPA designation in progress or completed.
• Hands-on IFRS 15 revenue recognition experience for software/tech.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure monthly financial reporting is accurate, complete and timely.
• Perform technical accounting analysis under IFRS, with emphasis on IFRS 15.
• Review IFRS 15 revenue contract checklists and SSP analyses.
• Review WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue for project-based/servicesRevenue.
• Coordinate external/internal audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Support process improvements, templates, and training for revenue reporting.
• Lead special ad hoc projects impacting stakeholders.
