JOB DESCRIPTION :

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for leading the company's accounting team in executing the financial close and assisting with the public reporting of the company. This hands-on role will broadly encompass both the preparation of financial accounting and management reporting. You will also assist in maintaining a strong internal control environment and work on various special projects as the company continues to grow. You will play a key role in overseeing the daily accounting operations, assisting in month-end close processes, and providing insights for financial decision-making.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Prepare and review monthly and quarterly operating company financials.
2. Prepare and review management reporting packages for each quarter's 10-Q or annual 10-K filings.
3. Record and review monthly G/L journal entries.
4. Improve processes and reporting packages; develop and execute controls.
5. Collaborate with FP&A to provide operating details, management reporting, and forecasts.
6. Work directly with auditors to support quarterly and annual financial statements and prepare subsidiary stand-alone financial statements.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at a top accounting firm, with strong operating company and GAAP experience.
• Proven experience in close and reporting environments with G/L responsibilities.
• Experience in the MRO, aerospace, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Experience with Quantum ERP is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English skills; fluent in French.
• Ability to understand big-picture concepts while remaining detail-oriented.
• Capable of producing accurate and timely work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.

WORK CONDITIONS :

• Permanent, full-time position.
• Competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 annually, plus bonus.
