Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services seeks an experienced Assistant Controller for a 3-month contract in the Greater Toronto Area. The role requires leading month-end close and financial reporting, overseeing AP/AR, and guiding the accounting team to ensure accuracy across multi-location operations.

Preferred CPA designation and strong Excel/ERP skills. On-site work in Mississauga/Brampton area with potential discretionary bonuses and standard medical/dental/vision benefits.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, or senior accounting leader.
• Strong hands-on month-end close, financial reporting, and controllership experience.
• Experience in distribution, inventory-heavy, manufacturing, or multi-location businesses is preferred.
• Comfortable entering an environment with limited documentation and quickly creating structure.
• Strong Excel and ERP/accounting-system skills.

Pay Rate

$50.00 / Hour
