Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Assistant Controller located in the Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo Metropolitan Area. The Senior Assistant Controller will be responsible for managing financial accounts, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role also includes leading budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting internal audits, and providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Financial Management, Financial Reporting, and Budgeting skills
  • Retail automotive experience
  • Dealership experience
  • Experience in financial analysis and forecasting
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and internal audits
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
