Job summary

Primco Dene Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead month-end closes, prepare financial statements, and manage budgeting, forecasts, and variance analysis.

You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, supervise Accounting Technicians, and support audits with internal controls enhancement. Based in Cold Lake, AB, the role emphasizes regulatory reporting (CRA/GST) and collaboration with external accountants, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and process improvement within

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory/team leadership experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with budgeting, internal controls, audits, CRA/GST, and ASPE.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close activities and review journal entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations and analyses.
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
• Support budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Manage GST, source deductions, CRA correspondence and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and look for process improvements.
• Supervise, train and support Accounting Technicians.
• Assist with audits and external accountant requests.
• Respond to ad hoc accounting requests as needed.

Manage GST, source deductions, CRA correspondence, and regulatory reporting

Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes

Supervise, train, and support Accounting Technicians

Assist with audits and external accountant requests

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

5+ years of progressive accounting experience

2+ years of supervisory/team leadership experience

Strong full-cycle accounting and financial reporting experience

Experience with budgeting, internal controls, audits, CRA/GST, and ASPE

Experience with Excel and accounting software; Sage 50 is an asset
