Job description

Join to apply for the Assistant Central Planning Analyst role at T & T Supermarket.

Reporting to the Manager, Central Planning, this position supports central merchandising planning by analyzing data and generating reports using database management skills. The role includes assisting in developing and implementing the enterprise planning system to connect and track business commitments such as inventory levels, fill rates, purchase order statuses, supplier performance, and shipments. Collaboration with internal teams (IT, Merchandising, Operations) and external vendors is essential.

Company Overview: T&T Supermarket Inc., founded in 1993 with two stores in BC, is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 37 stores nationwide, planning further expansion.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct monthly reviews of sales and inventory to analyze abnormal sales, forecast projections, and ensure accuracy.
  2. Design and maintain replenishment data systems.
  3. Manage vendors and coordinate with shipping teams to ensure timely product arrivals.
  4. Meet KPIs such as DOH, fill rate, and in-stock rate, and maintain purchasing records.
  5. Generate performance reports across various levels.
  6. Extract data and prepare statistical analyses.
  7. Document and support best practices for enterprise planning systems.
  8. Provide troubleshooting support for related systems and communicate incident statuses.
  9. Monitor and improve forecast accuracy, address errors.
  10. Report capacity risks and supply issues to relevant departments.
  11. Collaborate with managers to ensure supply and demand alignment.
  12. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, analytics, mathematics, supply chain, or related fields.
  • 1-2 years of supply chain experience.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments, preferably retail or supermarket operations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and replenishment concepts is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration, initiative, and multitasking skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure with confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel (including macros), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
