Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to help create and maintain a safe, secure store environment for customers, associates, visitors, and vendors. The role focuses on preventing loss, supporting store profitability, and protecting people and merchandise through awareness, observation, and teamwork.

You will conduct daily store patrols, verify security features, and participate in investigations, emergency response, and external apprehensions as needed.

Qualifications

• Age - 16 or older
• License - Security Guard License

Responsibilities

• Store Security and Loss Prevention: Conducts daily patrols of the store to help ensure a safe and secure environment. Verifies that doors, showcases, and security features are functioning properly and takes action as required.
• Investigations and Case Support: Investigates incidents of financial and physical shrink and communicates findings to Store Leadership. Escalates information for internal investigations per company guidelines.
• Emergency Response and Store Support: Supports store evacuation and emergency procedures during incidents such as fire or other emergencies.
• Enforcement and External Apprehensions: Carries out external apprehensions when required, in compliance with company policies and legal standards.
• Communication and Reporting: Gathers and communicates information from multiple sources, clearly explaining issues and findings to leadership and other stakeholders.
• Additional Duties: Completes additional responsibilities as required to support evolving business needs and Asset Protection priorities.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
