Job summary

Comox Valley Regional District is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to join our team. The role focuses on developing and improving the asset management program, coordinating inventories, assessments and data across service areas, and supporting lifecycle planning and capital works.

Ideal candidates bring an undergraduate degree with 3–4 years of related experience, familiarity with ISO 55000, and strong data interpretation and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, finance or related field with 3–4 years of directly related experience.
• Experience in asset management or operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, solid waste or recreation infrastructure.
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and ISO 55000 frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation and continuous improvement of the CVRD Asset Management Program.
• Coordinate asset inventories, condition assessments and performance data.
• Assist with lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies and capital works plans.
• Prepare asset management reports and supporting documentation.
