Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited's Service Team in Markham is seeking a Technical Asset & Lifecycle Specialist to support asset lifecycle management, condition assessments, capital planning, and data-driven decision-making for client facilities. The role blends technical analysis, reporting, and field assessments to craft long-term asset strategies and investment plans.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients, facility managers, operations teams, consultants, and stakeholders to optimize asset

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or Building Science or Sustainability Management.
• Recognized Professional Engineer of Ontario or Certified Engineering Technologist would be asset, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of asset management concepts, lifecycle planning, and sustainability considerations.

Responsibilities

• Support lifecycle asset management within the department.
• Coordinate infield facility equipment inspections and asset tagging.
• Maintain asset inventories, condition assessments, and lifecycle data.
• Develop capital planning recommendations and long-term forecasts (5, 10, 20 years).
• Prepare lifecycle and capital planning reports and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with sustainability and energy management teams to identify optimization opportunities.
