In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our asset management strategy, overseeing the full lifecycle of our fleet assets, and driving operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and effective team leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive asset management strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Budget Oversight: Build and manage the annual maintenance and capital budgets, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee asset acquisition, onboarding, disposal, and lease‑to‑own transitions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and report on key KPIs to support timely, informed decision-making.i>
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Manage relationships with third‑party maintenance providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal asset utilization.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities meet internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Innovation & Optimization: Lead trailer rebuild and asset life extension programs, and identify technologies or practices that enhance asset performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in asset management, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the trucking or transportation industry.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Experience with TMT is an asset.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a track record of data‑informed decision‑making.
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset but not required.
