Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical heater components according to work orders.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools and production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Verify materials, parts and documentation are available for tasks and inspect assemblies for quality.
  • Record production data such as timesheets and defects, following SOPs and suggesting improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe 5S work area and report safety issues.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and help meet production targets and contribute to problem solving.

Job Summary:

The Assembly Technician is a key player in the production process, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of electrical products. Reporting directly to the Production Lead, they are responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, meeting production targets and deadlines, and supporting a safe and organized work environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities (Outcomes & Measures):
  • Product Quality: Consistently assemble products to meet company specifications and quality standards.
  • Production Efficiency: Meet hourly and daily production targets with minimal rework or delays.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Support colleagues and leaders by maintaining open communication, a good attitude, and assisting in process improvements.
Responsibilities (Tasks & Duties):
Production
  • Preparing, assembling, gluing, and packaging electrical heater components according to work orders or instructions.
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safety and effectively.
  • Verify correct materials, parts, and documentation are available for assigned tasks.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards.
Process & Documentation
  • Accurately record production data such as output timesheets and any defects or issues encountered.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and suggest opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues and contribute to corrective actions.
Workplace Organization & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S practices.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and defective equipment or materials to a supervisor.
  • Participate in safety training and actively apply safe work practices.
Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, leaders, and managers.
  • Support other production areas as needed to meet overall production targets and objectives.
  • Provide feedback on production methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
