Job summary

Husky Technologies in Bolton, ON is seeking an Assembly Technician for a full-time, on-site role. You will assemble, fit and install pre-fabricated parts and sub-assemblies to form complete systems, reading drawings and schematics to determine procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school education with related mechanics, hydraulics or electrical training.
  • 4–7 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics; interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, fit and install pre-fabricated parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Read engineering drawings and schematics to determine assembly procedures.
  • Use hand tools, cranes and forklifts to assemble parts.
  • Review parts against BOM and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Complete tasks on schedule and according to quality standards.
  • Suggest changes for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report problems or non-conformances and maintain housekeeping.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and work in a team.
  • Train other technicians or students as required.

Assembly Technician – Husky Injection Molding (Bolton, ON, CA)

Salary: 23-45$ hourly. Full time, on site.

  • Responsible for the assembly of machines and related equipment in a manner which ensures high quality standards and on-time delivery commitments to customers

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, fit and install pre‑fabricated parts and sub‑assemblies to form completed system
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and schematics to determine assembly procedures
  • Use hand and power tools as well as material handling equipment, such as cranes and forklifts, to fit and install parts and sub‑assemblies
  • Review parts received for quality and accuracy to the bill of material
  • Complete tasks on schedule and according to established quality standards
  • Suggest modifications or changes to parts or procedures for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for reporting problems or issues as well as non‑conformances
  • Demonstrate superior housekeeping in work area plant
  • Understand and follow all health and safety procedures including safe operation of equipment
  • Work effectively in a team with other technicians to achieve production and quality goals
  • Train other technicians or students as required
Technical/Professional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Able to express ideas in individual and group situations and able to work collaboratively in a team
  • Technically capable of performing single disciplines in hydraulics, mechanics or electrical assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and/or engineering drawings
  • Proficient using hand tools
  • Ability to identify and assess problem situations
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently maintain a high productivity level
  • Demonstrated commitment and flexibility to achieve business goals
  • Available to work a variety of shifts
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and adhere to the rules and regulations under the Health and Safety Act
Qualifications
  • Education: High School and/or a post‑secondary education in mechanics, hydraulics and/or electrical or certificate in related studies
  • Related Experience: 4 – 7 years relevant work experience in manufacturing
