Job summary

CAE is seeking an Assembly Methods Team Leader to guide our assembly methods activities within advanced aviation manufacturing. You will lead a team that develops routings, work instructions, and configuration management to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Reporting to the Assembly Methods Manager, you will collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Planning, drive continuous improvement, and manage risks to keep programs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management, manufacturing routings, and assembly processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Boards and Power BI is an asset.
• Experience with PLM, ERP, or MES systems is an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of manufacturing routings, assembly documentation, and work instructions.
• Ensure effective product configuration management and support engineering change implementation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Planning teams to support operations and project execution.
• Participate in production problem-solving activities and continuous improvement of assembly processes.
• Monitor work progress, manage risks, and resolve issues that may impact project delivery and operational performance.

Job description

As a global leader in civil aviation and defense simulation and training, CAE develops some of the industry’s most advanced flight simulators. As part of the evolution of our manufacturing operations and digital transformation journey, we are seeking an Assembly Methods Team Leader to lead our Assembly Methods activities.

You will be responsible for a team supporting product configuration management, manufacturing routings, and work instruction development, while contributing to the continuous improvement of the tools, processes, and methodologies that support our assembly operations.

Reporting to the Assembly Methods Manager, you will coordinate the team’s activities, resources, and priorities to support manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
