Job summary

Raise is seeking an Assembly Line Technician II in Calgary, AB for a 1-year contract. The role focuses on material preparation, kitting, and traceability to support downhole tool assembly operations. You will work with Level III Assemblers to ensure timely material availability and accurate documentation.

The position offers a daytime Monday–Friday schedule, $18–$20 per hour, and requires lifting up to 75 lbs with adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly experience.
• Ability to read work orders, BOMs, and basic assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with inventory, ERP systems, or material traceability is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Material preparation, kitting, and staging per work orders and BOMs.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation before release.
• Deliver materials and WIP between production areas.
• Maintain part traceability and record material transactions.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure documentation.
• Support production schedules with Level III Assemblers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

Assembly Line Technician II

• Pay Rate: $18-20/hour, depending on experience


• Contract Length: 1 year


• Location: Calgary, AB T2C 3G3


• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

The Assembler II is responsible for preparing, staging, and verifying materials, components, and documentation required for downhole tool assembly operations. This role supports Level III Assemblers by ensuring all materials are accurately kitted, traceable, and available to meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Preparation & Kitting
  
  
  
  • Pick, kit, and stage materials based on work orders and BOMs.
  
  
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation before release to production.
  
  
  • Prepare components and basic subassemblies for assembly operations.
  
  
  • Deliver materials and WIP between production areas as required.
  
  
  
  


• Material Control & Traceability
  
  
  
  • Maintain part traceability, including serial, lot, and heat number tracking.
  
  
  • Record material transactions accurately in ERP or tracking systems.
  
  
  • Identify and report shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials.
  
  
  • Support inventory counts and material audits.
  
  
  
  


• Quality & Documentation
  
  
  
  • Inspect materials for completeness and visible defects.
  
  
  • Ensure required documentation is accurate and complete.
  
  
  • Escalate quality concerns or non-conforming materials.
  
  
  
  


• Production Support
  
  
  
  • Work closely with Level III Assemblers to support production schedules.
  
  
  • Coordinate with Materials and Shipping/Receiving teams to ensure material availability.
  
  
  • Maintain organized and production-ready work areas.
  
  
  
  


• Safety & Continuous Improvement
  
  
  
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  
  
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  
  
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
