Randstad Canada is seeking an Assembly Worker – Manufacturing for the Waterloo, Ontario area. This role focuses on constructing mechanical components and sub-assemblies with hand tools, power tools, and bench equipment in a clean, safety-conscious environment.

Offered shifts are straight days or straight afternoons with no rotations, and there is potential for overtime. Weekly pay of $19–$21 per hour plus 4% vacation pay is provided, with direct deposit and full-time contract opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse workflows, mechanical assembly, or general industrial labor.
• Ability to safely operate basic manual hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power drivers.
• Able to stand, bend, and perform repetitive assembly tasks for a full shift.
• Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and committed to high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and bench equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly diagrams to meet production quotes.
• Inspect finished assemblies for dimensional accuracy and surface defects.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area following OHSA protocols.

Responsibilities

• Component Assembly: Skillfully construct mechanical components and sub-assemblies using standard hand tools, power tools, and specialized bench equipment.
• Blueprints & Schematics: Interpret standard build sheets, technical specs, and assembly diagrams to meet daily production quotes accurately.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished assemblies for dimensional accuracy, proper fit, and surface defects prior to final packaging.
• Workplace Safety: Maintain an organized work area while adhering to rigorous workplace health and safety (OHSA) protocols.

Qualifications

• Practical Experience: Previous exposure to manufacturing, warehouse workflows, mechanical assembly, construction, or general industrial labor is highly valued.
• Tool Proficiency: Confident in operating basic manual hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power drivers safely and effectively.
