Job summary

Almex Canada is seeking an Assembler Tester to join our Parry Sound facility on dayshift. You will operate production line machinery, perform pre-shift inspections, troubleshoot equipment, and manage change-overs to keep lines running smoothly. We value reliable, mechanically minded candidates.

Experience is welcome but not required; training will be provided. The position offers a base pay of $29.50 per hour, overtime may be required, and a benefits package including dental, extended health

Responsibilities

• Operate production line machinery and computers.
• Perform pre-shift tool and equipment inspections.
• Troubleshoot production line machinery.
• Perform equipment change-overs.
• Quality control: adjust to specifications or reject non-conforming products.
• Follow SOPs and JSAs.
• Operate forklift/cranes if qualified.
• Complete daily production timecard.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Other duties as needed.

Our facility in Parry Sound Ontario, in the heart of the beautiful 30,000 islands, has a new employment opportunity. We are looking for an Assembler Tester to join our team!

Dayshift: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Base Rate: $29.50/ hour

Overtime and Shift Work may be required.

We are looking for reliable, mechanically minded candidates.

Experience preferred but not required.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate production line machinery and computers
• Perform pre-shift tool and equipment inspections
• Troubleshoot production line machinery
• Perform equipment change-overs
• Responsible for quality control. Make necessary adjustments to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications (check with supervisors)
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety analysis (JSAs)
• Operate forklift, overhead cranes, or mobile yard cranes (if qualified)
• Complete daily production timecard through the timekeeping system
• Perform daily preventive maintenance (PMS) on production line machinery or tools
• Communicate with operators from other shifts
• Clean and maintain work area
• Turn off equipment when not in use
• Lock out equipment in the event of equipment failure
