Your Role

CPC Pumps specializes in designing, manufacturing, testing, and servicing of engineered heavy duty process centrifugal pumps (fully API 610 Compliant) for the CCUS, Green Energy / Circular Economy, H2, LNG, Chem-Petrochem and power-generating industry since 1957.

CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill the role of Assembler Fitter A.

Purpose

The Assembler Fitter A assembles pumps of engineered rotating equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Manager or their designate as part of production control operations
• Take instruction from the Assembly & Welding Manager / Production Manager, or their designate, for the assembly of rotating equipment scheduled for jobs, service or repair
• Multi-task on assembly of different product lines
• Proficient in fitting, alignment of piping and tubing
• Perform assembly and testing with minimal supervision
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues that arise during assembly
• Effectively train and mentor other assemblers on product lines and processes
• Has the experience required to complete the most complex assemblies
• Knowledgeable on Industry Standards and how they may apply to assembly functions, as well as correctly handling customer specific requirements


To succeed, you will need

Qualification Requirements

• Advanced fitting, assembly and testing of various rotating assemblies
• Proficient in measuring and effectively using a variety of measuring equipment
• Able to diagnose and troubleshoot issues during assembly
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Good Communication skills

Education and/or Experience

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Recommended minimum 10 years’ experience as an Assembler Fitter B, Industrial Mechanic, or equivalent experience

Physical Demands

• Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortably able to perform repetitive motions using finger, wrist, and shoulders
• Ability to remain standing for the duration of your shift

Work Environment

• Work environment involves working in shop setting
• Ability to work in a high noise area
• Ability to work around overhead cranes, forklifts, machines, and equipment
• Must wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel toed boots
• Must be aware of and comply with all relevant safety policy and procedures
