Job summary

Dieter's, part of High Bar Brands, is seeking a dedicated assembler for a full-time role in Cambridge, Ontario. You will assemble parts into final products, using hand tools, a skin packaging machine, and basic equipment, while reading work orders and ensuring parts meet quality standards.

Working 40 hours per week, you will earn $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, with company pension and extended health care benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of assembly experience.
  • Experience handling stainless steel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts to form final products.
  • Use hand tools and basic equipment.
  • Check quality of finished items.
  • Operate packaging and labeling equipment.
  • Label parts and shipments to customer specs.
  • Sort, pack, and prepare products for delivery.
  • Maintain clean work areas and safe practices.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $23.00 Hourly

Our dedicated craftspeople have access to state-of-the-art equipment and use only the best quality stainless steel to design, develop, and manufacture the parts that have built our brand.

You will accurately and efficiently complete the following functions of the job.
  • Screw, clip, glue, bond, or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products
  • Use of hand tools, electric staple gun, drill and glue gun.
  • Perform part checks on fellow assemblers' final products before packaging.
  • Operate skin packaging machine, butterfly punch, hand cutter and clamshell sealer.
  • Create labels for parts, shipping and retail.
  • Ensure quality by visually checking manufactured items for defects and conformance to specifications or using sample models and instruments.
  • Affix seals or tags to approved items and return defective products for repair or recycle
  • Sort, pack, crate and package materials and products according to customer specifications
  • Clean your work areas and equipment
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by your Supervisor.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and part numbers.
  • Computer proficiency for inventory tracking.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • High school or have an equivalent certificate or experience.
  • One or more years of experience in an assembly role
  • Experience handling stainless steel is preferred
