Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking an Assayer 3 at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Reporting to the Assay Lab Supervisor, you will support the Mill Operations Team by receiving, preparing and analyzing samples, maintaining records and ensuring chain of custody.

You will weigh and measure samples, crush and pulverize ore, inspect equipment, and uphold QA, housekeeping and safety standards. The schedule is 7 days on/7 off at the Macassa Mine, with base pay and a potential bonus

Responsabilités

• Maintain records of receipt and analysis of samples, standards and reference material.
• Weigh, measure, record and mix samples.
• Organize workspace to process samples from the mine following a chain of custody procedure.
• Crush and pulverize ore samples to the required consistency (-10 mesh).
• Perform routine inspections on machines and equipment to determine if maintenance is required.
• Responsible for QA.
• Keep work areas clean to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Prioritize work and follow SOPs while working safely.

Your next challenge:

Reporting to the Assay Lab Supervisor, you will be part of the Mill Operations Department. You will be responsible for providing support to the Mill Operations Team and will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Competency in Basic Mill Common Core & Alignment to Mill Classification Guideline (AEM Mill Operations Training Classification Guideline);
• Maintain records of the receipt and analysis of the samples, standards and reference material;
• Weigh, measure, record and mix samples;
• Organize workspace to process samples from the mine following a chain of custody procedure;
• Crush and pulverize ore samples to the consistency required (-10 mesh). (Standard Operating Procedure);
• Perform routine inspections on machines and equipment to determine if any maintenance is required;
• Responsible Quality Assurance (QA);
• Keep work areas clean to maintain a safe and clean working environment (Housekeeping);
• Prioritize work and follow Standard Operating Procedures and working safely.

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
