Job summary

SE Health offers a 6-month sponsored PSW training program in Ontario. Five weeks of paid training at $19.05/hour, then part-time community work while completing PSW education, followed by virtual learning, in-person skills labs and placements.

The training covers personal care, household management and general support; travel and a valid driver’s license are required, along with immunizations and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel to support patient needs.
• Valid G or G2 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Standard First Aid and Level C CPR within 3 weeks of start date.
• Immunizations updated: MMR, Varicella/Zosters, HepB, Tetanus and TB test (last 6 months).
• Clear police check and vulnerable sector check (upon job offer).

Responsibilities

• Complete 5 weeks of paid PSW training at $19.05/hr.
• After training, work part-time in the community while continuing PSW education.
• 4 months of virtual learning, 3 weeks of in-person skills lab and placements.
• Training covers personal care activities, household management, and general support.
