Job summary

Pinchin Canada is seeking a Laboratory Analyst for the Asbestos Lab in Mississauga, ON. Join a multidisciplinary firm focused on environmental services and building science, contributing to accurate analyses and safe environments.

You will perform polarized light microscopy analysis, enter data, prepare reports, and ensure quality control across samples from internal and external sources. A related degree is required, with strong MS Office skills and attention to detail valued.

Qualifications

• Diploma or university degree in a related discipline.
• Strong background in laboratory procedures and/or microscopy.
• Ability to differentiate the full spectrum of visible colour.
• Knowledge of Polarized Light Microscopy and Optical Mineralogy will be considered as asset.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) will be considered an asset.
• Be detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain a highly organized work environment, and to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work in a busy environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Perform analysis of building materials and insulation samples for asbestos content by Polarized Light Microscopy
• Entering data and preparing reports
