Job summary

SERVPRO of Prince Edward Island is hiring 2 Asbestos Abatement Workers (Asbestos Removers) to perform removal and containment at client sites across Charlottetown and PEI. You will handle hazardous materials safely, set up containment, assist with demolition, and transport materials.

A high school diploma and 1–2 years of asbestos abatement experience are required, along with training and PPE certification.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of asbestos abatement experience
• Asbestos abatement training
• WHMIS certificate
• First aid certificate
• Fall arrest protection training
• English

Responsibilities

• Remove, encapsulate and enclose asbestos-containing materials and other hazardous materials (lead, mould, insulation) from buildings
• Handle, store and dispose of hazardous materials safely
• Set up and take down containment, scaffolding and barricades
• Assist with selective demolition
• Remove debris and clean up contaminants at job sites
• Load, unload and transport materials and equipment

Business address and work location: 60 St Peters Road, Charlottetown, PE C1A 5N5. Work is performed at client job sites across Prince Edward Island.

Terms of employment

• Permanent, full-time position
• Wage: $31.20 per hour
• 30 hours per week, day shift; overtime as required
• Benefits: health and dental
• Start date: as soon as possible

Duties

Requirements
