Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Community Engagement Manager for Kimberley, Canada, to advance local arts and culture by designing inclusive outreach strategies, coordinating events, and building partnerships with community groups.

You will manage communications, gather community feedback, and help shape programs that increase participation and accessibility, reporting to the organization and ensuring impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in community engagement, public relations, or event management, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse community groups.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Experience with social media platforms and content creation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy to increase participation and support.
• Organize and manage community events, workshops, and outreach activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership to expand the organization's reach.
• Manage social media presence and develop communication materials to engage the community.
• Gather feedback from the community to inform program development and strategic planning.
