Job summary

Eataly North America is seeking a Bread Baker to produce bread and focaccia per authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Assistant Bakery Manager. On-site role with flexible shifts, including overnights, weekends, and evenings.

The position requires at least 1 year in a baker prep role, basic math skills, and a strong work ethic. Training is provided, and there are opportunities to engage with guests and learn about our processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a baker preparation position.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.
• Post-secondary culinary program is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bread, focaccia, rolls and other bread items for Eataly’s restaurants and retail operations.
• Follows proper proofing and baking techniques for each variety of bread.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to health standards.
• Works towards mastering all shifts and production processes.
• Assists Sales Associates and engages with guests about bread production.
• Performs other duties as required.
