Meaty Eats is seeking a Bread Baker to join our team. You will prepare daily offerings, craft sourdoughs and various breads, monitor inventory, and ensure high food safety standards.

The role requires experience in a commercial kitchen and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of baking experience and holds a culinary certificate, with a strong commitment to quality and food safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker.
• Certificate in culinary arts or a similar relevant field.
• In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles.
• Strong baking knowledge with pastries that include gluten-free options.
• Physically capable of standing for a full shift and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily offerings & suggest new offerings.
• Prepare various top-tier goods such as sourdoughs, yeasted loaves, focaccias, ciabattas, and baguettes.
• Monitor supplies and ingredients necessary for daily operations.
• Check the quality of materials and the condition of equipment.
• Maintain a clean station.
• Adhere to health and safety standards.
• Keep abreast of the latest food and industry trends.
• Other duties as required
