Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Victoria, BC is seeking a Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items. You will use artistic talents to finish bakery goods, ensuring each detail meets our quality standards and delicious treats delight customers.

You will support Core Values, promote programs, and uphold food safety and compliance duties. This is a fast-paced role with flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6-12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Complete the Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program, or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience within a professional bakery or Grocery retail, preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and handle physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures; maintain production sheets.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in the display case; monitor quality and rotation.
