MNP on Vancouver Island seeks a motivated accounting professional to support engagements across compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax. You will work with IFRS/GAAP/ASPE knowledge and collaborate with client teams to deliver accurate financials.

The role emphasizes setup of new client files, multi-file management, and delivering insightful reports while maintaining a flexible travel schedule.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration; accounting/finance major preferred.
Prerequisites for CPA PEP applied for upon employment start.
Previous accounting office experience is an asset.
Customer service experience is an asset.
Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

Mansioni

Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
Apply knowledge of IFRS/GAAP/ASPE as appropriate.
Set up client files and manage multiple engagements, including inventory counts.
Perform A/R, A/P, asset acquisition/disposition and payroll walkthrough with clients.
Summarize financial status by preparing balance sheets, P/L statements and reports.
Review and correct discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
Establish charts of accounts and post entries.
Prepare client correspondence, reports and engagement summaries.
