Job summary

MNP LLP in Vancouver is seeking an Articling Accountant for our Assurance and Accounting team in Private Enterprise Services, Fall 2027 intake. You will develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, and tax while supporting clients across mid-market businesses.

This opportunity emphasizes IFRS/GAAP/ASPE knowledge, client service, and collaboration with engagement teams. Competitive salary CAD 55k–67k with benefits and a path toward CPA prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with accounting/finance focus.
• Prerequisites for CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon employment.
• Accounting office experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply IFRS, GAAP and ASPE knowledge as appropriate.
• Set-up client files, manage multiple files, and conduct inventory counts.
• Perform AR/AP, asset acquisitions, payroll walkthroughs with clients.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements and reports.
• Review audit evidence and correct discrepancies.
• Prepare entries and charts of accounts, postings.
• Prepare client communications and engagement summaries.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and client contacts.
• Travel flexibility as necessary.
