Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician Certificate is required in Alberta or interprovincial Red Seal.
• Hands-on maintenance in commercial/industrial facilities, large venues preferred.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and Alberta regulations.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, manuals.
• Experience using testing tools like multimeters and clamp meters.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain venue access.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment and lighting.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and escalate to Journeyperson Electrician as needed.
• Maintain interior and exterior lighting across venues, including emergency and exit lighting.
• Support event operations with temporary power and changeovers.
• Inspect and maintain emergency power and life-safety electrical components.
• Install and maintain structured cabling and communications infrastructure.
• Complete work orders and logs in the CMMS system.
• Coordinate with Journeyperson, other trades, and contractors to minimize disruption.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
