Job description

  • Responsible for the sales results from their assigned market and/or defined geographic area and to secure new and increased business to meet established sales budget targets
  • Generate sales and providing solutions to customers
  • Demonstration of products to prospective customers
  • Presentations to individual or groups on company products and technology
  • Sharing of project information and marketing intelligence with colleagues
  • Complete and submit sales reports as required
  • Act as a liaison with inside sales and technical for any customer related issues as needed
  • Being up to date with any information concerning fluctuations in competitors and market performance
  • Prepare and present business reviews for forecasted sales to target as required
  • Prepare expense reports on a timely basis and submit to accounting
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma
  • Post-secondary technical education, preferably in instrument, process control or electronics
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial sales an asset
  • Product knowledge an asset
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics helpful but not required

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
  • Day to day work activities are prioritised appropriately within work routines
  • Excellent decision making, organization, time-management, administrative and computer skills (including Microsoft word, excel and outlook)
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills
  • Able to work closely with team members
  • Attention to detail and a strong customer service focus
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • A valid driver’s license
  • English, German and French are helpful but not required

SALARY:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications

HOURS OF WORK:

Office hours are generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, with a 37.5 hour work week. Additional hours may be required.
