Job summary

MPI is seeking an Area Manager - Process Plant to lead a major process plant and associated site infrastructure for a Vancouver-based mining project. You will coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction readiness, field execution, and commissioning to deliver a safe, quality, on-time handover.

The role requires 15–25+ years in large-scale mining or related industries, strong leadership, risk management, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder interfaces with EPCM/contractor

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 15–25+ years of leadership in large mining, mineral processing, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with owner, EPCM, EPC, or contractor environments.
• Strong leadership and risk management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead owner for major process plant and site infrastructure scope.
• Provide leadership on technical reviews, constructability assessments, operational readiness, and asset performance considerations.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders to manage interfaces, execution priorities, risks, and critical decisions.
• Monitor contractor and EPCM performance, ensuring compliance with objectives, standards, and quality requirements.
• Oversee construction readiness activities, including engineering deliverables, field mobilization, permitting dependencies, and materials management.
• Lead efforts related to schedule management, cost awareness, issue resolution, and overall project execution.
