Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager II at the YYZ1 fulfillment centre in Mississauga, ON. Lead a team of up to 80 hourly associates, ensuring safety, quality, attendance and performance while meeting customer delivery promises.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze performance gaps, and coach staff to develop leadership capabilities. The role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to lift up to 49 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing large teams of 50+ members.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field.
• Experience in shipping/logistics, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources teams to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Diagnose root causes of performance gaps using advanced analytics.
• Facilitate alignment meetings with senior leadership on department-level goals.
• Conduct planning sessions with your team, coaching through operational challenges and developing leadership capabilities.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures, noise levels, and weather conditions.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.

Amazon's WW Operations network delivers millions of packages to customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Area Manager II at our YYZ1 fulfillment centre in Mississauga, ON.

In this role, you will lead a team of up to 80 hourly associates and will be responsible for engaging your team during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining customer expectations to ensure orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $75,000 – $105,000 CAD annually. Total compensation may include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D), RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and wellness resources.
