Job Description

The Area Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing credit risk within a specific geographic area or region. The role involves collaboration with sales, finance, and collections teams to manage customer credit accounts, approve credit limits, and resolve credit-related issues.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage a portfolio of charge accounts for several Kent stores.
  2. Collect overdue accounts via telephone, letters, email, etc.
  3. Monitor accounts receivable balances and deadlines to ensure timely collections.
  4. Review credit applications, approve accounts, set credit limits for new customers, and maintain existing customer files.
  5. Analyze accounts to assist customers in recognizing overdue balances.
  6. Coordinate with third parties (collection agencies, law firms) as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer and commercial credit.
  2. Knowledge of the credit construction industry is an asset.
  3. Proficiency in Excel required.
  4. Accounting background preferred.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strict deadlines.
  6. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
