Job summary

West Kitikmeot Resources Corp. (WKR) is an Inuit-led organization advancing the Grays Bay Road and Port project.

We seek a Project Controls Lead to oversee schedule integrity, cost performance, change management, and risk across a Progressive Design-Build delivery. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will interpret outputs, challenge assumptions, and ensure the Owner has clear visibility into planning and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.
• 5–8 years of project controls, project engineering, or project management experience on large capital projects.
• PMP designation in progress is an asset.
• Experience with owner teams, PDB, EPC, or other collaborative delivery models is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Owner's oversight of project controls (cost, schedule, change, and risk) as implemented by the PDB contractor and Owner's Engineering Advisor.
• Review, challenge, and validate schedules to reflect actual scope and timelines.
• Monitor critical path activities and baseline adherence; flag delays to leadership.
• Oversee cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections; perform variance analysis.
• Maintain change logs and assess cost/schedule/risk impact of changes before approval.
